EAU Real Life Data Registry on ACT and ProACT
Set Up
The Real Life Data Registry is based on an electronic data collection tool (enCapture® Advanced Patient Management System) with a non-limiting framework and guidelines for data collection and decision-making when treating patients using ACT and ProACT.
Each participating physician will be provided with an analysis of the data collected from his/her centre to assess the efficacy and safety of the treatment. This will also facilitate dissemination and publication of results on a European and individual level. At the same time, this process will provide useful information to select patients for ACT in the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence and ProACT in the treatment of male stress urinary incontinence after radical prostatectomy and TURP.
The EAU
The EAU has taken responsibility for the project implementation, registry steering and monitoring, software design, supervision of data monitoring and analysis, communication and publication. Uromedica and Medtronic are organizing the necessary training courses for participating centres and have made the required resources available.
Though the EAU owns the registry data and its results, participating centres have full access to their patient data and maintain the right to disseminate and publish results after the publication of the multi-centric EAU Registry results.
