6th Central European Meeting of the EAU held in the heart of Europe
Arnhem, 4 September 2006. The 6th annual Central European Meeting (CEM) of the European Association of Urology (EAU) will be held at the Congress Centre in Prague, Czech Republic on 15 and 16 September 2006. This annual meeting gives regional specialists the opportunity to meet not only each other but also many distinguished European experts. The meeting will be chaired by Professors T. Hanuš (Prague, Czech Republic) and M. Marberger (Vienna, Austria).
The annual EAU congress is rapidly reaching a size which imposes limitations on the number of presentations and possibilities of direct professional contact. The Board of the EAU therefore sees the need for additional meetings on a regional, but supranational basis. The CEM gives Central European urologists and European experts the opportunity to have discussions on an informal basis.
World experts will be giving state-of-the-art lectures about actual and frequently discussed topics in urology, such as prostate cancer, female urology, neurogenic bladder dysfunction and renal cancer.
Furthermore the meeting is an ideal platform for young specialists to present the results of their experimental research and clinical work. These results are to be discussed with leading European experts.
The EAU 6th CEM is accredited by the EU-ACME (European Urology-Accredited Continuing Medical Education). This institution is a European cooperation between the EBU (European Board of Urology) and the EAU, which keeps record of the credit points of individual urologists.
The European Prostate Awareness Day coincides with the EAU 6th CEM.
