Inspiring, informative seminars for urological nurses
Greetings once again to you all from your New Zealand colleagues. You may have been enjoying the summer holiday season as you read this, hopefully getting some relaxation and refreshing yourselves for another busy year ahead. I had my vacation early this year and came back to work in New Zealand late April, feeling revitalised after a five-week holiday in Spain and England.

Update on EONS Prostate Cancer Education Project
In a European context there is currently a lack of evidence on what type of education is needed for nurses and doctors in relation to prostate cancer. Similarly there is more to learn about nurses working in different settings and whether education can help to advance practice. Importantly any new educational initiatives must reflect men’s expectations and needs when prostate cancer is diagnosed.

EAUN in Vienna: Difficult Cases Session
As in previous years and since it’s initial introduction during the EAUN’s 2009 annual congress in Stockholm, the Difficult Cases session presented during the 12th International EAUN Meeting in Vienna, Austria, elicited enthusiastic comments and interest from both the presenters and the audience.

EAUN participates in Belgrade event
The EAUN board recently participated in the annual meeting of the Serbian Association of Urological Nurses, a two-day event which featured a programme that covered diverse topics in urological nursing. To note the EAUN’s participation was supported by Prof. Sava Micic of the Serbian Association of Urologists as part of the multi-disciplinary exchanges between the two organisations.

4th Skeletal Care Academy
The fourth Skeletal Care Academy (SCA) meeting took place in Madrid, Spain, on February 25 and 26 this year. The 2-day meeting focused on cancer-related bone disease, including bone metastases and cancer treatment-induced bone loss (CTIBL), and provided over 18 hours of accredited education.
