Delivering quality urological education
At the last congress in Paris, I had the honour of being elected Adjunct Secretary General and the Executive Member for Education. Having served the European School of Urology (ESU) for eight years as Director, this marks the second time that I succeed Prof. Chris Chapple. He has previously also served the ESU as Director, and I can count on his support in my new position.

The GPIU study is now more important than ever
The Global Prevalence Study of Infections in Urology (GPIU) is an annual initiative which runs successfully for eight years now. This study is a crucial tool in understanding the impact of infections in urology – and what is more important – it plays a preemptive role. The study maps out the situation as it progresses over the years, equipping the urological community with the knowledge and the data to be prepared for future developments, which, according to Prof. F. Wagenlehner, who coordinates this year’s study, is not all pained in bright colours.
