In November 2009 during the 32nd Brazilian Congress of Urology held in Goiania, Brazil, the (pro) Portuguese-speaking Lusophone Confederation of Urology – or the Confederação Lusófona de Urologia(CLU) - was created.

More than 350 participants registered for 8th EUREP
Arnhem, August 2010 – From 3 to 8 September the 8th European Urology Residents Programme (EUREP) is organised in Prague, Czech republic. More than 350 participants from 38 countries have registered so far, 300 of them will participate in Hands-on Training (HOT) sessions. The EUREP is an initiative of the European School of Urology (ESU) in collaboration with the European Board of Urology (EBU) and has been especially created and developed for all European urology residents. “The programme reflects the commitment to offer a dynamic, innovative and scholarly programme which covers all aspects of contemporary urology”, says Prof. Hein van Poppel (BE), ESU chairman.

1st International eULIS-EAU Comprehensive Stone Workshop
Recently I had the chance to attend the 1st International eULIS-EAU Comprehensive Stone Workshop held on June 10-11 this year at the Department of Urology at St. Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals, and organised by the Urolithiasis Section of the European Association of Urology (eULIS), with the support of the EAU Section of Uro-Technology (ESUT).
