EBU Certified Centres & Centres of Excellence

Certification of Residency Training Programmes in Urology (RTPU) is an evaluation activity run by the European Board of Urology  that helps to maintain the highest standards of urology education in Europe.

This programme offers a clear overview of training opportunities, enabling resident urologists to choose a centre that suits them best and become an active participant in the international community of medical specialists.

Urology training centres that have their residency programmes certified by the EBU must meet strict requirements. These criteria ensure that residents who enrol with EBU Certified Centres receive broad and comprehensive knowledge that is universally applicable and is always in demand.

Meeting the current trend for narrow specialisation, the European Board of Urology has recently launched a new initiative: certification of sub-specialty training programmes. This training adheres to the requirements of top-class specialist education and is only offered in EBU Centres of Excellence.
