The EAU and the European Board of Urology join forces to promote and assist in implementation of the CME/CPD credit system by launching the EU-ACME programme, which stands for European Urology - Accredited Continuing Medical Education.
Within the programme both organisations promotes CME by encouraging European urologists to participate in various accredited courses, forums and events which help them to keep pace with the latest in the field of practical medicine. By doing so, experts gain CME credit points, which are uniformly recognized in all EU member states.

European accreditation entitles a decision by the EBU Accreditation Committee that the organiser of the CME event has fulfilled the EBU requirements for a CME programme by allocating a number of European CME credits to an event in compliance with the EBU/UEMS regulations - 1 hour equal 1 credit point with a maximum of 6 credit points per day.
