Education is one of the most important contributors to progress in the field of urology. The EAU Education Office working through the European School of Urology (ESU) organises post-graduate ESU training courses on general and advanced, clinical and research urology not only during the Annual EAU Congress but also at all national congresses in Europe.
In addition, hands-on training courses are organised by the EAU Section of Uro-Technology (ESUT).
The ESU stand-alone initiatives include the annual European Urology Forum in Switzerland, an educational event which focuses on the most recent developments in urology. The ESU also organises large and small-scale master classes in collaboration with the EAU and the European Board of Urology (EBU, see
www.ebu.com).
The annual ESU-Weill Cornell Masterclass in Urology is a collaborative programme between the ESU and Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New York (US).
The ESU is developing the Virtual European School of Urology, that will allow its participants to access on-line EU-ACME accredited training
