Duration Approx. 70 minutes

Historically the patient was left for a period of time for the condition to settle with the resultant corporal fibrosis that ensues. This situation is one of the most challenging implantations which commonly result in intra-operative complications- tunical and urethral perforation. So how can this situation be improved for better outcomes? The faculty will discuss situations where an implant can be inserted acutely to prevent having to deal with fibrosis.

What are the risks and benefits of an early insertion? What happens when you do perforate intra-operatively? Immediate recognition or missed perforations will be discussed via video demonstrations. The faculty are all serious implanters with a wealth of experience and will debate these topics with video clips and a lively discussion.
