EAU Membership
The EAU counts over 9,000 members. It is the aim of the EAU to represent European urologists and to play a coordinating role in all European urological activities.
What types of membership does the EAU offer?
- Active membership for European urologists
- Corresponding international membership for non-European urologists
- Junior membership for urologists-in-training
- Junior international membership for non-European urologists-in-training
- Affiliate membership for urological scientists
- Senior membership for retired urologists
Members who have made special contributions to the association are rewarded with Honorary membership.

What benefits do EAU members enjoy?
As a member, the EAU provides you a wide variety of free products and services allowing you to stay up-dated on urological developments through publications and events.
Publications
- European Urology - the EAU's monthly scientific journal;
- EAU-EBU Update Series - a quarterly educational publication issued as a special supplement to European Urology;
- European Urology supplements;
- EAU Guidelines - all members receive the annual Guidelines publications. Currently the EAU prints guidelines on around 20 urologic pathologies;
- European Urology DVD Journal - a quarterly DVD publication containing footage and text of interesting or new (urological) surgical interventions;
- European Urology Today - the EAU's official newsletter, an excellent source of information on EAU activities and European urology in general;
- All of the de Historia Urologiae Europeae publications - historical books on European urology
- Junior ESRU members receive the quarterly Journal of Endourology
Education and Accreditation
- The European School of Urology (ESU) develops and provides high-quality educational courses in urology with an international perspective, with support from a pan-European faculty. It organises courses at the annual EAU congress and at many national urological meetings across Europe. The ESU also offers master classes - both for qualified urologists and super-specialised urologists in different urological subspecialties - and the European Urology Residents Educational Programme (EUREP) for urological residents;
- Through its European Urological Scholarship Programme (EUSP) EAU members can apply for short-term visits, clinical fellowships, visiting professorships and scholarships;
- The European Urology - Accredited Continuing Medical Education (EU-ACME) programme implements, promotes and organises continuing medical education (CME) among European urologists.
Meetings & Events
- EAU members may attend the Annual EAU Congress as well as EAU Section Office Meetings at substantially reduced registration fees;
- The same benefit applies for participation in any European School of Urology (ESU) programme;
- EAU junior members may join the EAU annual congress free of charge. Registration fees for ESU courses will also be waived for all EAU junior members (max. 10 free registration per course).This arrangement is also applicable for EAU junior international members.
