EAU Support Fund

In 2000, the EAU Board founded the Support Fund. Its aim is ‘to provide medical equipment to urological facilities which lack finances’. Urologists may submit a request for funding through their national urological society. These requests are being sent to the Support Fund – to the attention of Angela Terberg, a.terberg(at)uroweb.org - for evaluation by the EAU Board.

The Support Fund does not donate money but sends urological equipment produced by Karl Storz or Olympus. All requests submitted are being evaluated by the EAU Board and the result is communicated to the national urological society involved. Over the years, the Support Fund has helped more than a dozen urological institutions to get their equipment in good order so that they can provide their patients with the care they need.

Urological facilities may apply for a maximum donation of € 15,000 per application. Each year a maximum of 1 institution per country is accepted to give all countries equal opportunity to be granted the equipment.
